| How high should a fence be for dogs? |
| The best height for your dog fence depends on the size and breed of your dog, their tendency to jump, and whether there is an additional barrier above the fencing such as a hedge. A fence which is 1.2m (4ft) to 1.5m (5ft) high is a popular option for dog fencing. If you have a dog prone to jumping then you may wish to install a taller fence around 1.8m to 2m high. This additional height can be achieved using two runs of 1m (40 inch) high dog fence to prevent escape. Please keep in mind any planning restrictions which may apply to fence heights at your property. |
